Synopsis
Director James Toback takes an unflinching, uncompromising look at the life of Mike Tyson--almost solely from the perspective of the man himself. TYSON alternates between the controversial boxer addressing the camera and shots of the champion's fights to create an arresting picture of the man.

Very humane portrait of a potentially extremely unlikeable character. - 80
Film Threat
If you’re not really interested in Mike Tyson as a boxer and a person, the film doesn't give you much to go on. This is a movie called Tyson and it is about Mike Tyson – and nothing else. - 80
The Hollywood Reporter
It's a sympathetic portrait of a complex man driven by an anger that still bubbles beneath the surface. - 75
ReelViews
