      The Hollywood Reporter

Salty, sweet and fun to chew over — sort of like taffy, but not so hard on the dental work — Fun Mom Dinner is a palatable addition to that growing subgenre of bawdy, female-centric comedies.

A perfectly enjoyable way to spend 81 minutes.

      Variety

A film that, for all its tinniness of craft and carelessness of storytelling, gets by on sheer force of personality.

      TheWrap

Although the filmmakers return to outsize wackiness too frequently, the film mercifully isn’t one chaotic gag after another.

      Austin Chronicle

The laughs and pacing of Fun Mom Dinner may be uneven, but days later I’m still smiling at the thought of the dispensary’s recommended strain: the Ruth Bader Ganja, which “gets you supremely high.” It’s the little moments that matter here.

      The A.V. Club

While there is plenty of drinking and a fair amount of drugs (just pot though, let’s not go crazy), the overall effect is more akin to passing out on the couch at 9 p.m. than partying until dawn.

      Los Angeles Times

This raunchy, female-driven comedy should be able to rely on the strength of its cast, but even the collective talents of Katie Aselton, Toni Collette, Molly Shannon and Bridget Everett aren’t enough to make the movie worth a babysitter’s hourly rate.

      The New York Times

All four actresses have a natural chemistry and manage to give some inner dimensions to these otherwise archetypal characters.
