Time Out
A skilful blend of the familiar (casting, English locations) and the outrageous (the script's mix of whodunit, disaster movie and telekinetic thriller) produces a beguiling entertainment in which half the fun's to be had from constructing a coherent synopsis out of the loony mess of flashback, foresight, eccentricity and even ecology. - 70
Variety
Director Jack Gold controls all the angles of this improbable story. Burton has some very effective moments too as does Remick. - 50
The New York Times
The movie was directed by Jack Gold from a screenplay by John Briley and it's fuzzy on a number of key issues that possibly could have made it fun, had they been sharper. - 25
TV Guide Magazine
Another one of those movies that was more of a "deal" than it was a picture.
