Synopsis
A research scientist becomes the world's first pregnant man in order to test a drug he and a colleague have designed for expectant women. To carry out the trial, he has an embryo implant, believing that he will only carry the baby for three months – hardly expecting to face the prospect of giving birth.

Chicago Sun-Times
A lot of actors can hold big machineguns and stand convincingly in front of special effects and explosions. Not many can stand in front of a camera and be nine months pregnant, and actually make us care. - 63
Washington Post
A fleecy romantic caper with a dusting of feminism, the picture is basically a one-joke movie successfully nursed by director Ivan Reitman. - 60
Newsweek
Neither hilarious nor horrible, Junior is the first would-be Arnold blockbuster that coasts on charm. - 60
Empire
A daft movie, but one not without its moments of healthy radiance, spurred on by some bristling gags and a welcome comic return by Emma Thompson as a gauche fellow doctor caught in a romantic sub-plot. - 60
The New York Times
Proceeds efficiently but never quite lives up to its own potential as a sight gag. - 50
Austin Chronicle
Junior is passable entertainment, but it could hardly be called fully developed. - 50
Entertainment Weekly
Schwarzenegger’s willingness to flirt with femininity, to become truly radiant, is the most engaging aspect of Junior. Unfortunately, the script doesn’t portray his transformation to starry-eyed pregnant bliss with much comic ingenuity. - 50
San Francisco Chronicle
As a comedy, Junior has its share of laughs -- but no more than its share.
