New York Daily News
Most of the supporting cast (including Daphne Rubin-Vega and Michael Jai White) underwhelms. Still, Palladino is a strong lead, and there's no denying the film's emotional core. - 50
The New York Times
Generally low-key and likable, thanks mainly to a talented cast. - 50
TV Guide Magazine
Writer-director Erik Palladino's admirably subtle bit of chronological trickery allows his small-scale drama, set in 9/11 New York, to deliver a sucker-punch of an ending. - 40
Village Voice
Though director Oppenheimer has a nice comedic touch, an achronological structure and distracting vignettes thwart the film's emotional designs.
